Default Rear Light Harness question

Some time ago I deleted the stock tail light along with all turn signals. The dumb part was cutting the stock connector module bulkhead thing out of the harness. So now I just have a side plate with a running light and a stop light hard wired. Other wires were cut/capped and bundled under seat.
Now I want to change back to bullet signal lamps running all three functions (aux, stop, turn)

So, I know part number 69462-06A is usually the easy solution, with plug in connectors for the rear signal module (which i no longer have)

So my question is - do I need to order that rear sig module and then the 69462 kit or could I just hard wire everything to allow the bullets to function similar to how I have the model A stop light now?

All you need is a run/turn/brake module and then run wires to the signals.

The module plugs into the system before the rear harness. I am not sure were you cut the rear harness but I cut mine a few inches from the plug under the seat. Then just spliced into the turn signal wires and ran them back to the signals. You will no longer need the wires for the taillight or running lights.

hmm, ok cool - so the run/turn/brake module connects in line somewhere under the seat then?

Now ill have to look and see cuz I dont recal where I cut - If memory serves it was right at the taillight connector - i mistakenly called this module above - but I beleive its just a plug and play bulkhead on a circuit board, not an actual module) and then I rolled up all leads except the stop and run wires - which now go to sidemount plate.

thanks BBerk - so sounds like I still need the kit.

Ya the brake module plugs in under the seat ( I also recommend the biketronics one over the Harley one).

My rear harness is completely gone except the plug that connects under the seat to the main harness. I left just enough wires off the plug to connect the turn signal. I then extended the turn signal wires to reach under the seat. You could also rehook your sidemount there as well. My side mount was done before I removed the rear light so I had tapped into the wiring before the rear harness for it.
