Once you remove the coter pin there is a pin that slides out to remove the linkage. You make have to remove the midmount for it to rotate enough to slide out freely dont recall off hand.
To get the brack pedal off there is just a c-clip on the inside of it. Pop it off and it will slide right off.
Mud - this pic just made a huge difference for me. I was stuck right here on my Thundermax install (routing the oxygen sensor cable wires to front cylinder along inside of frame rail). I had given up on getting the brake pushrod disconnected from my forward brake pedal, and zip-tied the O2 cable connection [1] under the outside of the frame where it was hanging at risk to road hazards.
Your pic shows such a simple idea that it borders on obvious once you see it, yet I did not think of it myself in the moment. I was hammer-banging and decided it wasn't going to work. I assumed the pin was frozen in there and was gonna leave it until I could consult a pro wrench.
Thanks for continuing to take pics and post things which appear simple once you see them, but for some reason fail to be apparent to green wrenches. This makes a big diff in showing how to be creative as a wrench and thinking outside the box.
