will be putting it on mine in the next 2-3K miles. I had an 18x5.5 wheel put on mine a while back with a 180 tire so just going to mount a 200 to the wheel and see if it fits all around. Will let everyone know how it turns out (regarding tolerances to fender and belt). It should be on in the next month or so.
Doing it by keeping the OE hub and lacing a different rim on may need to have the drive pulley spaced out to clear the tire. And as mentioned making sure wiring and strut bolts are clear.
Contrary to what some may think, there are a number of ways to go about it and a lot of them methods require different work.
I recomend getting a TrueTrack, Sputhe or some other device that will take out the side play of the engine assembly with frame. When the motor mounts wear and the tight clearance a 200mm has it will rub on the fender.

So you don't have any clearance problems with a 18 wheel under your stock fender ?
Thanks, I was planning to wait a little bit more ($$) for the rear fender mod to put my 18x200, but if a 180 fits there without a problem I already can buy my wheels!
I'm looking for an 18x5.5 hoop that isn't 200 bucks. Anyone have an ideas? I'm looking use my stock hub and spokes. Anyone have any part numbers? I'm in the middle of lacing my front, and would like to lace my rear at the same time.
