Default Road 6 Customs Apes

I am gonna pull the trigger and get some this weekend. My only problem is size (story of my life) should I go with 12" or 14". I have seen pics of them with 14"s and like it but have not seen any 12"s. I would like 14"s but dont really want the expense of buying all new cables. I have read where 12"s can be put on using the stock cables. I was wondering if anyone has the 12"s on their skoot or any pics with them on. This is going on an 09 Street Bob so I already have the mini ape but want something taller. I am 5'11" and have forwards, I was wondering if 14"s would be too tall, again if anyone has experience or any 'Lessons Learned" I would appreciate it.

I'll bet the stock cables will fit the 14's if you re-route the clutch cable a little. I've got 12" Todd's on 2" Loner risers and the stock cables fit fine.

I have 14's and used the stock cables. Had to come up the right side of the frames down tube with the clutch cable so the angle wouldn't be to sharp. I had 12's before and they were to low. I'm 5'10 and these come
right to my shoulders.. Just like resting your arms on a hand rail.. Pretty comfortable.

I have the the 12 R6C's the way the bars angle down at the handles, they put your hands in almost exactly the same height as the stock mini apes, so I would bet that the 14's could be used with the stock cables.

I loved my 12's And I had plenty of extra slack with my stock cables. the only reason I switched out was I wanted the lower profile look with drag bars. Here are some pictures...
