Recently purchased a 2004 Wide Glide that had the rear turn signals removed. I purchased a kit from HD that had two sets of turn signals, both front and rear. The rear lights are two wire single filament, and the front are three wire double filament. I would like to have the rear turn signals serve as both running lights and turn signals. Can I install the front signals on the rear and have both running and turn signals. I have the service manual along with the wiring diagram but unsure where I would connect the third wire in the rear tail light housing, would I splice into a wire going into the tail light. Would I be better off buying more stuff from HD and get the wiring kit that turns the rear turn signals into, running, turn , and stop.
Yes you can easily do that, no need for any module if you have 3-wire signals.
You should have a black, a brown or violet, and a blue wire on the lights correct?
Black is ground, blue is tail, and the brown or violet are turn.
Do you want all 3 on each light or do you want run and turn, or stop and turn?
+1 on the run turn brake, I just put one on and WOW what a difference in lighting it makes. I bought the kuryakan model i wanted the pulse brake light also
