So not an answer but my kid and I just watched Karate Kid the other day. I love schooling the little one in 80's campy movies.

Default Wash 'n' Wax

Step 1: Before washing I hose off the bike....

Step 2: I mix hot water and car shampoo in a bucket and "sponge" the bike with it

Step 3: I hose off with cold water

Step 4: I take a wash-leather and dry the bike

Step 5: I apply wax using a wet cotton rag

Step 6: I polish the wax layer with a dry cotton cloth

Here's the products I use....

and the result of an hour's work:

I have been using the mr. clean car wash system on my bike for quite a while now. It works excellent. Rinsing the bike with the filtered water really cuts down on water spots. Next, I use a bike dryer to blow off any remaining water. Then, I use a spray on wax as you dry after that. Comes out looking great and all can be done under an hour.

I don't wash my bike!! I only washed it twice in the last two years cause I got stuck in the rain.

I wipe it down after every ride with my mini california car duster.

Weekend I use Original biker sprite to "wash" and I'm switching to Lemon pledge when I'm out of that.

Wax I use Meguires Scratch X followed with Meguires Tech Wax 2.0
