1" lower Progressives front and 11" Progressives back and I drag my pegs before the Fat Cat. I did drag the stock bracket before I lowered it to though. Pretty crazy they designed it that way stock.
Used to scrape the pipes on my Street Bob, but only on uphill right hand turns. Today I scraped the peg on my 2010 Wide Glide. Either one is a little scary when you hear the scraping!
HMMM! I don't have an exhaust bracket attached to the frame on my 08 SB. It's all attached to the motor and trans. I went out to look and even went back out to double check. I would think that an exhaust mounted to the frame on a rubber mounted engine would create some problems. Not scraping, but breaking!! I never had stock pipes on, it came with the SE slip ons and didn't have a problem them either though. I don't know them detail on all these bikes.

Pics would be good!!
Your right. I can't say that I have ever seen the exhaust on a rubber mounted engine mounted to the frame. It has to be mounted to the engine or trans so that it can move with the engine.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the exhaust is mounted to the frame. Shock hgt affects seat hgt (and tire clearance to the fender) and has no bearing on exhaust hgt. I'm not sure how the brackets are hitting. I also think the engine guard would hit before the pegs do. I have only deduced that it it the exhaust bracket by checking everything for scraps. Nothing on the pegs or engine guard, just on the exhaust bracket.
If you lower the rear of the bike or have the shocks on a soft setting this will cause the exhaust to be lower.
My 05 has this bracket, it connects the two mufflers together. It's a black piece of pipe with 4 holes drilled in it, and the mufflers have bolts hanging down that go through the bracket. Before I put on the FXDXT shocks, mine scraped all the time. All you can do is raise the bike up or go aftermarket exhaust. When mine was stock height, it did not take much to scrape that bracket. However you can't see it so I think it's a good a place as any to be scraping.
You are right MZ, earlier said i scraped the bracket that was attached to the frame . My bad memory a "senior moment", of course the bracket holds the two mufflers together and as you say is attached to the engine/tranny, as Dynas must with the rubber mounts and all. Still not a nice thing to drag first though.
well my wide glide is low drag the pegs all the time, and also the bottom bend in the outside pipe now and again not sure what I am going to do about this, got new pipes on the way so i will wait and see,
PS i have my rear set on #5 so it shouldnt be happening :-( I am not a fat barstard
Not really sure what i will do, I will give it some time and see

I have an 02 wide glide and I use to scrape mostly on the pipe on the right turns and even sometimes on the left side so I went with 1/2" longer than stock Progressives and it turned the bike into a cadilac ride and you have to work hard to scrape anything now. It still handles just fine too.
2009 FXDC lowered 1". I'm a short rider 150 lbs and have never scrapped tailpipe. If she is taking corner inside of lane to inside of lane and leaning into corner instead of counter balancing on a slow turn maybe an issue. Or, could be the crown of the payment. But, sounds odd to me.
