Angry Dropped it

Yep thats right I did the stupidest thing today. After working all week on getting my pipes, intake and Efi tuner installed I was pulling her out of the garage to put the battery cover and other side cover and seat back on to take pics. And when I lean it over to put the kickstand down the slope of the drive caught me off guard and I couldn't hold her up.

SOOO pissed at myself!!!

Broke the end of the brake lever off and scuffed my brand F'n new pipes. So if anyone has an extra brake lever for an '08 streetbob that can be sent my way. Or know a temp fix for my pipes (black V&H Big Shots) until after the Laughlin run so I can replace then with the manufacturer (if possible) I would appreciate it.

Pretty sure I've got a mid control brake lever off of my 08 streetbob. Is that what you need?

Welcome to the: "I dropped my bike" club. I have been there but haven't dropped either of my Harleys yet.

That sucks man, sorry to hear.
Although I don't know exactly what kind of damage was done to it - seeing as it's the black pipes I'm fairly sure that the paintjob can be repaired just powdercoating it!

I just ran into a guy who had flat black pipes. He said they were chrome pipes that he had scuffed up and shot with flat black paint for grills. He had done them a couple of years ago and they still looked perfect. Perhaps you can tweak up your pipes with some fine grit sandpaper and a little bit of flat black, high temp paint.

Thanks guys. Yeah I think I'm just really bummed cuz I only got to start it up and hadn't even ridden with my new pipes.

Yldtang and Tscreener, thanks for the offers, the part I broke was actually the tip of the hand control lever for the brake.

Thanks everybody.
