I want the chrome off mine, eventually i will get rid of a bunch of it..Chrome to me looks like cheap bling, always has looked that way to me, never understood the infatuation with chrome.
I love the balance of the chrome/black on the bike, however there are a few pieces of chrome I plan on getting:
the chromed switch housings, buttons and some form of a chromed mirrors and last but not least a 5.75" chrome Bullet headlight.
Once I get the budget to do some shopping again I'll make sure to get some pictures up on the board!
If I got one of the new WG's, I'd put enough chrome on it, chrome wheels, bobtail rear fender... make it look more like what a WG is supposed to look like.
Yea, I know you hate the new W.G. that is why I asked my question that you never answered. As far as the "real" W.G.- Real W.G.'s had Shovel motors and looked good.
I used to work with a guy that owned a W.G. (post shovel) people were always asking him "Is that a Harley?".
I agree with you- they should have called it something else.
Damn man, you won't find 1 post where I said I don't like the new WG. But there are probably a dozen where I said I like the bike, but it should've had a new name. They retired the 'traditional' WG and brought it back as something quite different. For the people who like the 'traditional' look, it probably won't be in the Dyna line-up any time in the near future.
Like any bike in HD's line-up, there are 'things' I don't like about it. No different with this one. I think the exhaust is fugly - but only a small % of people keep the stock one. That's what I meant with my 1 of the things I didn't like about the new WG comment.
This thread was suppose to be along the lines of previous threads like...
Show me your exhaust
Show me your custom wheels
Show me your numbered paint sets.
and this addition
Show me your chromed 2010 WG's.
