i'm not a fan of any pipes what are chrome plated. had some on my older harley, and they turned blue, and started to flake at the head. i like vance and hines. there is a reason lots buy them, they sound amazing, and their fit, finish, and quality is second to none. why buy 2nd best? but anyways, if you want loud, pretty sure nothing is louder than these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DOWN-...s#ht_500wt_836
Pipes can burn through jeans! I always wear jeans when I ride, sometimes chaps....why does everyone assume that because I'm worried about burning my leg that I must wear skirts while I ride?!
I love my Bubs Lakester 2:1. Great sound AND not many people have them. I've had many pm's sent to me about them. Great fit and finish as well. Here's the vid for your listening pleasure.
...but when the people I ride with all have vance and hines, I'd rather not be in that clique!...
That's it. You're out of the herd!
So even after you heard my new pipes, you still want deeper, eh? The V&H BR 2-1 was definitely deeper than the 2-2, but not as loud. Maybe people should know you're looking for 'obnoxious', not 'loud'?
So you heard the mouse that's living in these fantasy V&H pipes that everyone thinks has a squeal? Maybe it's just how one hears noises, but I haven't heard any squeal or high pitch noise from a V&H pipe!
I like those bubs you were looking at, or the samsons.
Oh and don't worry, my 'herd' won't be back out there anytime soon
got my first few rides on my vance and hines straightshot slip on's. freakin love them. i even set off a car alarm in town today just riding through town in 3rd gear at 35mph. so deep
BUB AND REINHART ARE ONE IN THE SAME you can't go wrong with the sound from those guys,it's just a matter of picking out your fav model, you won't be disappointed!
Sorry for the caps lock.... o ya and if you don't want to burn your leg, wear long pants when you ride.
Bubs and Rineharts ARE NOT the same. Bub used to manufacturer Rinehart's pipes for them, but they were to Rinehart's specs. That's like saying Andrews and Woods cams are the same just because Andrews makes the cams for Woods. And as of last year Bub's stopped manufacturing Rinehart pipes (they're now made by Custom Chrome), so they've got no relationship at all anymore. But I do agree, that both are good quality pipes. Matter of fact, it's kind of hard to go wrong with most pipes these days. The fit and finish on most pipes is good quality.
