Ok, I'm not the happiest camper in the park right now. Keep in mind I'm from Australia.
I put a deposit down on a Dyna Street Bob on 17th May 2006. My local dealer said there are no 2006 Street Bobs left in the country, so I'll have to wait for a 2007 Model to arrive. The dealer told me the 2007 models are due for delivery in mid Sept... I was willing to wait the 16 weeks for the 2007 models to arrive. I kinda expected to wait a couple of months anyway.
But, my dealer called me yesterday and advise that the delivery from the USA has been delayed until mid November !!! That's 6 months I have to wait for my bike to arrive. And there's no guarantee that it will arrive in Nov, it could blow out to December... Gee, I'd even settle for a 2006 model rather than wait for half a year for my bike to arrive. This bike better be worth the wait !!
I'm reading about you guys in the USA dropping into your local dealer and seeing 2007 Street Bobs sitting on the show room floor.... Hey, Australia is the lucky country, but not much luck when it comes to purchasing a Harley Davidson.

Australia.
Well at least it will be summer time for you if it comes in December !
I hope you get a suprise and it comes in very soon for you.
Not sure of what it would cost but could you possibly have one shipped to you from the USA? I'm sure you'd be able to find someone on Ebay willing to work with you. Not sure of the legalities of this but just a thought. My guess is it might not be the most cost effective way to get a Bob. Good luck to you.
Howdy S.G.T. waiting on 07 FXSTC myself in OZ.There were delays with the 06 models last year also, this year will be first year that distribution will b handled by HDAustralia's new warehouse think it is in NSW,instead of dealers handling distribution.Being the 1st year of doing this i hope they dont stuff it up,with big delays.I am led to believe from HD Australia that 07's will b filtering into the OZ 1st week of Sept.Who u deal'n with Morgan&Whacker?
Yeah, I heard that HD has set up a new distributorship centre in NSW. And I'm also hoping that they don't stuff things up in their first year of business. I was disappointed to hear that my bike had been delayed by 8 weeks, and my dealer wasn't even guaranteeing a Nov delivery. A 6 month delivery is really stretching the friendship. I'll just keep ridin the Jappa until the Harley arrives.
I really don't want to mention the dealer's name that I'm purchasing through. I believe he's doing all he can to get the bike to me. So just don't want to give people the wrong impression of the dealer.
yeah S.G.T. just been to my dealership they have 3 streetbobs on the floor vivid blk,blk cherry and blk denim. If you want give em a call ph.08 8212 1494.ask for richard.Still no eta on my bike either mate.I mentioned about your delema, richard said they can help u out if need be.Good luck!
I live in Italia.
I ordered my street bob on 15 march and it's arrived last week!
I ask to another dealer in june and he say that there are no more street bob till the 2007.
For the 07 models I don't think they are disponible before december...
Dave
Don't worry ol chap, just try to stay optomistic. Think of when you do get your bike, it will be nice and hot and you can go riding with all your other mates on their Harley's! (They do have HD's don't they?) I bet at least one of them has one and I reckon his bike is [8D]!!!!
