Yes. I'll see if I can find the parts list and prices but if I remember correctly it would have cost around $750 to put it all together as stock. I just bought the stock fairing and light bezel and bought a windscreen from Baileys. My setup does not have an adjustable windscreen and the elimination of the adjustable hardware cut the price at least in half.

It was pretty simple. I used turn signal relocater mounts on the forks and just bent some aluminum flat bar and used that to mount the fairing to the turn signal relocater. The fairing has four threaded mounting points built in.

I called harley and found all the parts:

58209-01 Windshield trim $31.99
57725-01 Windshield $150
58123-01 Primed Fairing $270
58205-01 Chrome headlight trim $34
26389-01 Windshield adjustment bracket $57
58366-01 Right Bracket $24
58365-01 Left Bracket $24

I figure if I am fabricating a mounting bracket all I will need is the Fairing, Windshield trim and Chrome headlight trim. I plan on buying an aftermarket windshield. Is this all I need if I don't care about the adjustable windshield?

Yeah don't buy the mounting brackets. They are real heavy and will need to be modified anyway. I'm not sure what you mean by windshield trim but all you need is the chrome headlight trim and the fairing, which does come painted. Get the short windscreen from Baileys and when you order it tell them not to put any of the original mounting holes in it. You can drill it safely and install it like any stationary sportbike type fairing.

What did you guys do about the headlight? My stock headlight wouldn't have fit with the fairing. Luckily the guy that I bought it from threw in the headlight for free.

The stock SB headlight worked fine with a minimal gap between the light and fairing. I ended up buying the chrome slightly extended headlight trim ring from HD and now the headlight is a perfect fit.

Ron,

You have been a huge help, thanks! Your tips will save me time and $$

I will call HD and see if I can get a vivid black fairing. If so I will order it and the chrome headlight bezel.

I am debating one of three mounting options:

1. using my existing memphis shades fork clamps
2. purchasing HD detach windshield clamps
3. purchasing turn signal relocation hardware. Did you need 4 clamps total?

If you have a picture handy can you post your mounting setup? This is going to look sweet!

Just a heads up...the part number you have for a primed fairing for $270 is only $175 at Zanottis. The painted fairing part # is 58249-01dh. They've gone up from $291 to $356.
