Default Will a FXDXT Fairing Fit on a FXDX?

I have a 2003 Dyna FXDX. Does anyone know if the T-Sport/FXDXT Fairing/Windshield will fit on the FXDX? ... or know where I can find out if it will?

Thanks in advance,
John

Yes it will, but you will need the upper and lower triple trees and the headlight from the FXDXT. I have an FXDXT fairing on my 05 Super Glide Custom, and it was a direct plug-and-play swap of the trees. The trees have mounting holes for bolts to hold the fairing on.

If you need pics of how it mounts, let me know and I'll snap some closeups.

Was gonna say the same thing. You need to get the Tsports trees and head light. The head light will be mounted from the bottom on the trees. After that it's all plug and play.

Tough to say. They're pretty hard to come by. Every once in a long while, one will come up on Ebay but not very often, and when they do they're usually pretty rough.

I kinda stumbled across mine. I bought a set of FXDXT shocks from Ebay, and the guy selling them was in my area so I went and picked 'em up. He showed me his FXDXT, and it had a totally different front end on it, all sorts of custom work, etc. When I got home I emailed him and asked if he still had the fairing and if so, did he want to sell it.

Well, I never heard back from him and I kinda forgot all about it. About two months later he responded, saying he never saw my email, and that yes he had it and would sell it. He also told me about how I'd need the triple trees and headlight, and made me a deal on the whole package. I had to get it painted and buy a windscreen, but it's absolutely the best thing I've done to my bike. Because of this fairing, there's no other bike right now that HD makes that I would trade mine for.

Here are some pics of how it mounts:

All the fairing pieces are still available from HD. Unfortunately there's no kit so you have to order it piece by piece.

Interesting. Just out of curiosity, are they crazy expensive?
