Hey Guys,I just put cycle shack slip ons on my '10 wide glide.I used the 2.5" slipons,they sound great,no popping or backfiring at all. I just went out in the dark and started it again and after sitting a couple of minutes
idling I noticed that the pipes were glowing red near the heads.I have never noticed it with the stock mufflers. does this mean I am going to have to have the download done to remap the efi? According to cycle shack I shouldnt have to do any thing unless I change the air intake.I dont think it is normal for them to turn red.Im scared to ride it until I put my stock mufflers back on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You should not be seeing glowing red. According to not only the manufacturer but also my local Harley dealer remapping is not necessary when only installing slipons. I was told it doesn't matter what brand slipons you go with the same rule applies.I will be curious to hear what is causing your problem.Good luck.
