Default Update

The tuner has been in for a while now with the map supplied from Jamie for several hundred miles. The main problem with the bike before was a hunting and surging effect mainly noticeable at about 30-40mph. That symptom has been reduced by at least 90% now, it's still there but not annoying and as far as I figure my mileage has decreased, (<49), because I got 193 miles before worrying the other day, so it must be doing something. Slight popping on decel still there. Thinking of doing what FXDFAN did and check throttle position. The bike vibrates like the dickens still, can't find the smooth sweet spot on the roads yet.

Default EFI Tuner

Hi,is this thread about the Fuel Moto EFI unit,or the Power commander,or are they the same thing, hope this isn't a dumb question,I know nothing about EFI tuning,i'm trying to learn all I can before deciding which tuner to go for.i had just about decided on a TTS,but i'm worried it's too advanced for a first attempt,& maybe something more plug & play would be better.

Default fuelmoto efi

is power comander 3 made by dyno jet same thing as power comander but cheaper price with differnt lable worked on my bike so far ! not to hard to figure out with a few calls to company and you should be satisfied if not go spend 1400 on all the other junk and still be at mercy of a mechanic bringing it back and forth not right! my 2 cents fuelmoto usa .com a new way of getting your bike to run right for a lot less money

Its the same thing. Dynojet provides a proprietary version of their Power Commander III usb to FuelMoto to brand as their own. They call it the FuelMoto EFI by Dynojet - its just a PCIII usb with a FuelMoto sticker on it. Comes with all the same stuff and is fully compatible with all the Power Commander software, maps etc. The beauty of it is its quite a bit cheaper than a regularly branded PCIII - price for the fuelmoto unit is only $239....which is only about $75 more than the stealer will charge you for the useless stage 1 download.

If you know how to install and run applications on your computer, the TTS kit is more plug and play than any of the PCx or Fuelmoto tuners. You don't have to screw around installing hardware. The PCx may be simpler for you if you don't have a clue around a computer, but you did find this forum. If the PCx doesn't work right for you, you will need to hook up a computer and tinker anyway. The TTS kit includes tools for the more advanced/knowledgeable. Using those tools correctly requires a more intimate knowledge of EFI, but just loading a base map is a quick and simple two or three step process. A Vtune to dial your specific bike in is not much more complicated. Their base maps run pretty well, however, just about as good as any canned map from my experience.

I installed a Power Commander III I purchased from Fuel Motor in my 07 StreetBob. Very simple to do if you have the smallest mechanical aptitude. The biggest problem with the install was the rerouting of cables to the Power Commander and trying to find the space for the unit under the seat. This was a PC III. The newer units are smaller if that's what you are getting and may be easier to find space for.

The change in performance was noticeable - this was with pipes and air cleaner change. My only complaint has been with the gas mileage I get since installation which is somewhere south of 35 MPG. I'm comparing this to my RoadKing which gets about 45 MPG with pipes, HD air box and stage one download and my Sporty which gets about 50 MPG with pipes and air filter upgrades.

I installed the PC-V and intake from Fuel Moto last year as I already had the V and H Big Shot Staggereds. Bike ran great right from the start and the best trick is my 07 Street Bob is my daily driver so the map they did kept my fuel mileage about the same.
Now I found out the PC V can hold a second map so I installed a simple $3.00 switch and had the guys at F M make a second map for me to boost the performance. Just installed a week ago so I'll know more in a couple days how much it helps but what little I've played it seems to work great!

Well I got my Power Commander V today from Fuel Moto and I insalled it and went for a short ride. I have an 05 WG with the screamin Eagle slip ons and SC air cleaner. It wasn't too bad to install the PCV. Just a bit tight under the seat. I could tell the difference after putting it in. You could just here it idle and I could tell it was tuned better.

Well I have some more riding to do so ..... Later

Thanks to the guys at Fuel Moto

I am a Happy customer
