Just wondering if anyone is using Cycle Shack slipons on any of the Dyna's and if so how do you like them.I have heard the Khromewerks slipons and thought they sounded pretty good. I was kind of hoping to get some feedback to compare the two. Just really curious if the Cycle Shacks are louder and if they have a deep tone. Thanks!
I have had both. Bought some Khromewerks turn out slip ons once when I damaged my cycle shacks on a real tight turn and lean as the cycle shacks were back ordered. The cycle shacks sound way better not as tinny if that makes sense? I went back to cycle shack and never looked back. With stock head pipes they are the best all around set up I have found and I get compliments on the sound "ALL" the time. Someones always asking what kind of pipes I have.
My bike had cycle shacks on it when I bought it. They sounded great. I just didn't care for the tapered look and replaced them with the D&D slash cut slip-ons. The D&Ds sound just as good if not better and I am extremely happy with them. You might want to check them out as well.
I just put a set of the Khromewerks Slash Cuts on today. Very good deep sound. Another poster mentioned a tinny sound, but perhaps they were the 2.5-inch mufflers? The 3-inch HP are not tinny at all - deep bass. And supposedly, the Cycle Shack mufflers are a magnitude louder than the Khromewerks. For me, that might be too loud as the Khromewerks are several levels louder than stock.
Have/had a set on my 2010 Wide Glide. Was very pleased with the sound. I had the slash downs and i loved the look. Bike got hit and exhaust scraped so i am replacing them with a full system though.
I was surprised that they were that deep from a slip-on, but of course that could have very well been the 2-1-2 exhaust that my W.G. has.
