My wife has been asking for a cruise assist system on her Superglide Custom. The 2 I have been looking at are the Kuryakyn Cruise assist #6280 and the Brakeaway System. Both look like well made products, the brakeaway system looks like the easier install. Both will release with front brake application.
Any body use either of these products? thoughts and comments?
thanks
As far as I know, the only true cruise control system you can do on the Dyna is a universal system, and and I'm a bit wary of the install of one of those. Kinda over my head.
I went with the Cruise-Mate throttle lock. I really like it, very simple and easy to install.
Thanks Oldmike, I did a search, honestly, but that thread never showed up.
Interesting idea but not sure if worth the money or not and wanted to get some ideas from someone you had it.

It is for the wife and she is a bit leary of using a throttle lock. I bought her one of those palm things but she wants to be able to let go of the throttle and relax her hand and arm. The Brakeaway system seems easy to install and can be removed if needed plus it releases with the front brake. Might go that way to see if it works. Was just hoping someone on here had one.
I have factory cruise on my Electra Glide Classic and honestly rarely use it. When my right hand needs a rest, it's easier to engage the throttle lock on the Dyna then it is to turn on the cruise and then set the speed on the Glide. Course the lock doesn't release when you hit the brakes the way the cruise does, but I'd never spend the money to install cruise on the Dyna even if HD offered it.
