Default Cleaning black ceramic headers

Alright, I've looked all over and can't find a good solution. I have burnt oil on my V&H Competition exhaust. I can't seem to find something that'll get it off. It's ceramic coated, so it needs to work on that. I'll be taking them off soon to replace gaskets. Open to all suggestions (but only if it's worked for you).

Thanks,
matt

Default Pipe Cleaner

I have a Bassani that is black and looks like it is ceramic. When I put it on the bike it went to the dealer to be dyno tuned. While there the mech who did the tune spilled something on the pipe. I didn't notice till the next day and man I was pissed. I don't do business with that dealer anymore because of it. Anyway, the only thing I found to clean it up is BBQ flat black paint. I just mask off everything around the pipe and spray...Looks like new after I'm done.

i email V & H onces to see what they recomended i clean them with, i think they said soap and water, but i cant rightly remember (slept since then). but i clean mine with windex like my paint on a regular basis. i had a few oil spots once, real small, windex took em off. you may want to shoot them an email. and if nothing else i think you can buy replacement heatsheilds, they shouldnt cost too much.
