Default Blacking out the Front Trees, and fork Brace

Okay,

So I dont really know the technical term for the parts I am referring to, but I have read how to paint the front forks. Have any of you painted the fork brace (not sure on name) or the trees with epoxy paint also? If so, what is the best method to doing this?

Probably the same method used on the fork lowers.

Obviously it would be better to remove the trees from the frame, IMO.

If you're intent on not doing that, I'd remove the fork tubes and handlebars/risers from the trees, mask everything you don't want to paint (i.e. the whole bike) and get to it.
