ugly headlight

Im not happy with my stock headlight on my 2001 superglide. what are my options?

I've been looking at the big bullet style lights for mine. Possibilities are endless, find one you like and make it work.

does your headlight have the hat on it?

if it does you gotta drill a hole in the lower tree to install a bottom mount headlight.

When I rebuilt the front end of my FXD I used a set of FXST triple trees I had at the shop. The stock headlight wouldn't work so I picked up the one in the pic off Ebay for about 65 bucks.

Moving the headlight to the lower triple tree and eliminating the eyebrow will also mean having to relocate the idiot lights. There are many possibilities ranging from drilling holes and placing them in the speedo/tach housing, putting them in the top handlebar clamp, eliminating them entirely...

Also need to find a way to mount the headlight on the lower triple tree. Can drill a hole as was suggested. I chose to switch to Custom Cycle Engineering's triple trees when I did the conversion years ago.

There are plenty of headlights out there to choose from. I went with a Headwinds model. Expensive, but great quality.
