New FXDLignition question
Hello All,
Let me first say it is great to be a paqrt of this forum and glad to finally have bought my first Harley after riding metric bikes for way too long. Since this is my first harley I have a question for the seasoned guys out there. I just bought a 2000 Dyna Lowrider that the guy showed me was running but needed a new battery. after a few days I went to try and jump it and start it and this is when I got confused. Where the ignition switch bracket is near the battery box - there is no ignition switch or wiring to indicate there ever was a switch other than the bracket with the big hole in it. I hooked up the battery and the instrument cluster lights up as if there is power. I hear the fuel pump kick on but it appears there is no way to get it to crank. Is there something im missing?? Is there a switch other than where Im accustomed to looking? and why would there be power all the time - probably why the battery was dead...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place or the switch is relocated somewhere else??? just haven't spotted it. Hoping someone has seen a mod like this before or knows something cause I am stumped!!!
