Proud Hubby
My girl started riding two years ago... we got her a 98 883. She ended up in a really bad accident on the freeway that put her in the hospital for a while. Her first words to me that night at the hospital when she finally regained her marbles was "this doesn't mean I'm not going to ride again"... talk about proud!
Here's a picture of her new 1200R we got her last year after her arms healed up and the insurance company finally came through. (we changed the bars pretty quick... I could barely ride the darn thing with the ones in the picture)
She bought a P.O.S. Honda Nighthawk 250 and started learning to ride. In six months, she put 107 miles on it. All but about three feet of this was done riding the roads in our subdivision. The remaining three feet was done in the air as she hit a curb and flew over the handle bars. If I could just figure out a way to get her *** in that position in a bedroom setting.
In June 2008, after completing the Motorcycle Safety Course, she bought her first Harley, a 2006 Sportster Custom. She got on that thing and rode it like she'd had it all her life. She has put about 7,000 miles on it since then. It is wonderful to share rides with her now.
She had wanted to find something we could do to spend more quality time together and was thinking of taking up golf. Her acquisition of a motorcycle replaced that thought and works well cause I can't hear her bitchin' when she's on the motorcycle.
We have both discussed the inherent dangers associated with motorcycle riding and made a pact with each other. If something ever happens to one of us while riding, the other of us will hold no regrets. What ever happens, it will be while doing something we truly love.

She is excited about it. If she passes it, I'm going to try to buy her Mom's Sportster for her...
