Default Throw $$ @ fxdf exhaust ???

new FAT BOB can really use a little more exhaust volume. I'm sure most everyone is aware of that. Anyway,I know that there are two sides of the coin when changing exhaust. Funds are not great and won't be for quite awhile. Main thoughts are for a little more sound, not additional performance (at this time). For less than $200 I can go with the CYCLE SHACK slip-ons. Should be reasonable sound and DIY. But for around $425 I can go with a pretty cool looking complete system, but not sure if I'll need fuel management or not,(NOT changing air cleaner) and might be able to do it myself. So,if someone can add their 2 cents,I'll listen. thanks, jon.

No need for a tuner with exhaust only. Get a full system.

I had the cycle shacks on for two years there was nothing wrong with them I just liked the looks of the V&h Short Shots. Short Shots with quiet baffles sound great but not as loud as the cycle shacks

I'm different , I guess . I say keep the stock exhaust , and just add the cycle shack slip ons . I've seen some Dyno sheets with that setup on the Fat Bob , and it is very comparable to a good two into one system . But... that's just me and my opinion .

What kind of a full system are you getting for $425? If it's new, it ain't gonna be much. Go with the slip ons. You can find the Cycle shacks for considerably less than $200 if you shop around.

shmooze around this website you will find what I think is the best deal on the planet right now...... That is the price SHIPPED......!!! Don't go for slip-ons when you can get a full system, and if you change out the pipes only and not the a/c you will not need fuel management!

Default exhaust

had rush slip-ons that were fine for a quick change... moved to d&d fat cat and saw better sound & performance, but lost tommy-gun look

Until you get the cash for full exhaust you can get BCT baffles for about $80. Check out this video link where this forum member installed BCT baffles in the stock Fatbob exhaust before and after.

As most have already said here get the full exhaust system you'll be much happier that you have only spent your money once..
In the mean time pull your stock mufflers and drill a 1/2 hole in the baffle plug you'll gain some volume and a slightly different tone in the exaust..
This will also buy you some time in decieding what you what to buy..

Just my
