I have the 2" on my bob and hubby has 2 1/4" on his 2010 wg. The two sounds great but that wg is a much deeper sound than my 2". They are both well worth the $$. Can't tell you which is better or we'll start fighting - we both are damn happy with what we each chose.
i have a 2009 super glide with sert, se air intake and rush slip-ons with 2 1/4 baffles. i am real close to pulling the trigger on the 2.0 baffles though.
i had the bike dyno tuned initally by a harley dealerhip when the work was done. i had decel-pop all over the place. they went out of business, took it to another harley shop for another dyno-tune a couple of weeks ago, and the ride is better, but still way more decel pop than i want.
i think the little added back-pressure from the 2.0 baffles will help me, and i kick my self in the a$$ for listening to the first dealership that recommended i go with the 'biggest baffle you could get'. there is alot of feed-back on this forum from people running the 2.0's without issue, and if i was doing this all over, I would go with the 2.0's.
I know what you are saying about back pressure. You could restrict the end of the pipe down to 2" with smaller pipe added to the inside. Maybe like a 3" long pipe to fit inside. A little trick for 2 cycles. Or weld a washer on a small bolt and you can turn it to get the desired back pressure you want. Might save you a little $$ instead of getting new muffs.
I have 2.0's on my fxdc. No decel pop, just a nice gurgle on decel. Not as loud as my buddy's vance and hines short shots, but nice. I used to run cobra dragsters on my old kawasaki vulcan 900, always got a headache while riding. I think they were 2.5's though. Rush are a good value, but I'm thinking about some big shots or vandh slip ons.
I had the 2" baffles (for about 5K miles) and changed them out for the 2 1/4" baffles. I didn't notice them to be any louder - but definately a deeper guttier sound. I asked my friend who if he noticed them being louder and he said the same thing I had thought, that they were deeper sounding but not louder. I've had em on now for almost 5K miles. I like the 2 1/4" the best
Thanks for the compliment FuZZ....well I went with the 2 1/4" Rush Boloney cut. Now I just wait till they get here. Have to think of what else I am going to get now. It never ends.
