Default 07 streetbob

ordered a streetbob back in May and knew that I wouldn't get it till Sept.I'm glad cos I'm getting the 07 96 cu in spec but I'm led to believe the seat is now ribbed.I wanted to have the detachable pillion but I was told today thet it would have to be the 06 and that is not ribbed!!!
Don't really want a mis-match.I was also going to put vance & hines sideshots on it but with all this new air-valve/exhaust gizmo technology will it be too difficult? What's the solution?

I saw the ribbed version and personally like the 06 better, just my .02 cents

I think it would look better if the ribs went the full length of the seat, instead of just a circle with ribs in it.

I have the 07 with the ribbed seat and plain pillion and I think it looks perfect. I think ribs on both would be too much. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Here is a picture I have with the roll bag on the pillion. I will have to take another picture tomorrow
without the roll bag. But it will give you an idea on how it looks. Also when someone is sitting on the pillion
no one can see if there are ribs or not.

There is a reason for the ribs being in a circle. Notice the ribs exit out the back and not the front.
So when you rip a good one it channels the smell back towards the underside of the passenger
so that they will never blame it on you. [:-]

Thanks for the pics, yeah I agree it looks OK so I'll just stick with my order and should have it soon and in Black Denim.Still not sure on this new exhaust/air system though, I've been told that the outlets of the pipes are different sizes and a valve opens at 3500 revs!

The pipes are the same size back to 1995. I just tried my SE II slipons on my 07 and they fit OK.
I think they either changed the disatance between the pipes or mounting bracket by about 1 1/2 inches though.
I will know more tuesday.
