Photo's of New Risers and Center Console installed
My Original risers were 8 " and now they are 10 " much better reach and control for that high speed cruising there is no leaning forward with these babies on ! I also have a different set of 1" chrome tops for the risers but i'm waiting for some set screws that have to be made , the ones on there now are a thinner dome look , I also changed my mirrors using the ones from a 2009 Cross Bones they are a little shorter than the stock Street Bobs , I also moved my blinkers down to the lower tree using the Harley kit which I know alot of people don't like because they stick out far but I have no problem with them and think they look fine , and finally I installed the WG center console It makes a world of a difference turning the switch in front of you verses leaning forward to turn the key in the neck and I don't have that dam key fob dangling all over anymore I can still use the neck for locking it overnight so now i have 2 locks using the same key , Next to do is buy front and rear rubber including the 180 rear tire ..... and eventually Chrome the trees and legs ...
My small write up not much but here it goes , you have to take off the plastic cover thats under the frame above the valve covers and also raise the tank for more room to work , now you have to pull out all the wires from the hole there is one set that goes to the neck it's a tight space but you have to reach and pull the plug thats the harness ( 3 wires ) thats going to plug right into the ignition switch in the console but you have to cut and add about 8 inches to reach it , the hard part is stuffing the wirings back in the hole at the end , there are alot more tech posts on this forum on how to do it with photos use the search option and you will find them , Sorry i'm keeping my old console i always see them on ebay try there ...
Very nice!! I did the switch relocation as well but I used my old console. I do have to say I think you sold me on the WG console, may have to order one!
I was scared to cut the wires so I made an extension cable using packard connectors/terminals.
