I was just curious on how you approached it compared to others. I am going to do this with a stock console. I can't afford the way over priced WG console, but it is really the best way for sure.

I have seen it done with the SB stock console but don't like how the ignition mount has to be fasten to the console , you have to drill and then have exposed screws on top, the WG console the screws are hidden underneath , but to each is own , good luck with it !

Some have drilled holes, but you can make a bracket that mounts to the tank and the switch mounts to that. I think it was Walter Windbag who originally did the mod using the stock console and it did come out nice. The problem I see is you can't really get rid of all the ribbing on the stock SB console and I have not seen one done up close, one reason I am looking for a console in case I booger it up.

I have seen all the write ups before , the wires were enough me to do without getting involved with drilling and lining up everything to much chance for me to make a mistake , I saved the money and had no headaches , nice clean direct bolt on !

Console looks great, Wonka. I may have missed it, but did you post a list of the part numbers required for this mod? Would love to see that.

Thanks!

I agree, you definitely went the the right way. I only posted that up because you mentioned drilling the console to mount the switch and seeing the screws, not to mention $200+ is a lot of coin for that console and there is an alternative if one so chooses.
Again, looks great and the way our SBs should have came!
