Default Kuryakyn switchblades - just junk?

Man I really hate to get down on any company, but has anyone else installed these? Mine are constantly coming loose, and they just seem like junk.

I'd imagine a little loctite would make them much better but I still question the overall design and quality.

These are the type I have: http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...ID/14/IMID/623

Any other opinions out there?

I'm interested in hearing more about these too. I just ordered a set of the regular ISO pegs, but plan on moving them to the back for the lady when I put a pillion on back.

Just in general, locktite on all bolts? Blue good? I really don't like red if there's any possibility something needs to be taken apart later.

I have used them for 2 years. They do require some initial maint. but have really worked great. The small ball bearing and spring, take apart and apply a thin coat of grease, not oil. When adjusting the foot rest, lossen slightly and rotate and you will feel different grooves or spots that are high and low. Set and tighten in one of these low spots and tighten. I have been able to tighten really hard with no locktite. I am using for highway pegs, (Dyna with mid controls). If you apply alot of pressure on the fold out blade part without them being really tight they can rotate out of that groove and loosen. I have not tried them as my mid foot rest. But I do have iso pegs with the heel rest, (Forgot the name), works wonderful, buying my second set due to wear from leaning in curves.

Mine fell apart in about 6 months, no amount of torque or loctite
would keep them from rotating.
