I added 1.75" lowering blocks that I bought from a member from here. It has changed the ride. I feel more bumps through the handlebars instead of my a$$. I also removed my upper belt guard to prevent my rear fender from hitting it. I will try to upload some pics.

Is the improved handling well worth the work though?
You shouldn't have much of a problem if at all if you remove your passenger peg mounts. I can't see that the fender has hit the belt guard and really think it's only hit on the right side on the peg mount.
I personally feel like the handling is much better, it's more responsive and even easier to maneuver at low speeds, plus it just looks better.

Of course I live in Louisiana where even the new roads are rough...
Goddamn, definitely haven't had anything that bad happen lol.
I assume what's under the fenders is different between our bikes because I can't see anything under there.

There is a six wire harness going to the tail light and turn signals on a Fat Bob. The wires are in a plastic tube; Then Harley has a rubber channel with self sticking glue that runs inside the fender. It protrudes I would say close to 5/8 inch or more.

I have had my 1" blocks on for a few for a while...and while I LOVE the look, I am thinking of ditching the blocks.

So...those thinking of buying some...I will have some for sale in a bit at half the cost of new.

Plan to leave it at 12" shocks and upgrade them to something like the Ricors and Works. Loved the lowered look, just doesn't fit my riding style.

stock pipes must be lower than the short shots because I've never come close to dragging them as far as I can tell and I've drug the pegs a few times.
