The vibrations in my foot pegs is getting bad. Also, just recently I've noticed a clunk in my right foot peg. Mostly happens while going over bumps, but can also sometimes be felt while engine braking. I first noticed this clunk right after changing the front and rear brake pads. I did the pad swap by the book so I'm thinking it's coincidence. Looks like I'll be changing out the front motor mount...any thoughts?
Did you do the shim thing? I havent and am getting vibes up threw the apes... Had it before but its a bit worse since these bars are taller. But i've heard people getting rid of handlbar vibes from the front shimming process. Didnt know if you had done this or thought bout it? I'm gonna do it in the coming weeks.

Pretty sure there was tech (service?) bulletin regarding some '06 models and motor mounts. By your sig-line, is yours an 06? Might be worth a look even if it isn't.
I did try the shim technique...when I loosened the two bolts and I had about 3/32" of a gap at the top bolt and no gap at the bottom. The rubber on the isolator is definitely touching the bracket and from what I've read thats not right.
Finally mounted my new isolator and it made a world of difference. The clunk I was feeling in my pegs is gone and I'm back to the normal amount of vibes. Here's some pics to some the 2 isolators, you can see the mounting point on the old isolator is higher than the new causing it to rub on the frame.

I would be curious to see the 2 compared again in a couple months. It looks like they may have started out the same but the old conformed to where it needed to be.
I am curious if the new one will look like that after a couple thousand miles.
Save your old mount.
