Howdy boys. I posted in the General Chat Monday that I dropped my WG. Now the headlamp turns on highbeams but nothing on the low. I changed the bulb last night because everyone told me I busted the filament. But this morning on the way to work (0500) I still have no low lamp. I adjusted the light down so i could still ride without being pulled over or a burden to others, but i really like my high beam when the road gets dark.
Does anyone have a thought on how to fix this without paying 90$ per hr at the local stealer?
It was fairly soft. i actually had a foot on ground and one hand on bars. only damaged brake lever and some scratches on the bottom of the heatshield. Where would I find my fuse box? sorry, like i said, i'm mechanically inept. but the elec connection could be a possibility if that were in the throttle side of the bars.
you gotta start from the headlight and work your way back. Check the wires at the bulb for power and ground, then go back to the switch, etc. Nobody is going to be able to guess the problem but these are simple problems to find. If you do not have a wiring diagram you should get a manual when you get a chance. Diagrams are like a road map for wiring and just about a necessity.
Ya, I'll have to pull my manual out tonight I guess. I know we can't figure it out without the bike on hand. Just hoping for some starting points.
Ya SC, my high switch is on the left. I'm being an idiot thinking it was on the throttle side. Been a long week, had a puppy die on me monday night and haven't slept well since.
