North Wales is pretty special for riding. Love Conway and the roads up there.
North Wales is indeed lovely Laroc, but if you go up there make sure you're bike is 100% legal and that you're squeaky clean, the police there can be a bit ...erm. lets call it draconian. I live about 30 / 40 mins ride from North Wales but very rarely go there, the slightest misdemeanour will have you pulled over and they ain't the nicest of people, the cops there.
Having said that, it's a long time since I've ridden the Llanberis (sp?) and Horseshoe Passes so may head over that way mid-week sometime soon - they're gonna love the pipes on my Harley there! There's no doubt I'll come home with a fine for something
Ha Ha , Spacelue. You win the prize for being the first person to recognose who the music's by. You win a coconut. Audioslave tracks are great to use on You Tube because for some reason they don't get removed - I can only guess that they not under WMG's banner? Evanescence track are usually ok too.
So, what are the helmet laws in England? Full-face required? Brain buckets (half helmets) allowed?
As long as the helmet has the current UK / Euro standards number on it then it's legal, but yes we have full face, open and even one or two "brain buckets" here. Most bikers here wear a full face though, with a few cruiser / chopper riders wearing opens and even fewer wearing the brain bucket. To be honest you're daft if you ride in the UK without a full face and full gear - the drivers here use us bikers for target practice!
the secert to riding in wales is , Dont ride like a sports bike rider.
they mainly leave the harleys alone, the police have even been know to wave !
avoid the cafes full of said sports bikes. (horse shoe pass) .
open face helmet for me. unless its a 200+ on the fatboy, and I need the bluetooth gps.
