Value: Low Rider vs. Super Glide Custom?

I had a 2008 Lowrider and now own a 2010 Superglide Custom. First thing I noticed was the bars are slightly lower on the SGC because the LR has risers. The Michelin back tire on the SGC was smaller even though the Dunlop tire on the LR said it was the same size. I preferred the tank emblem on the SGC better than the tank decal on the LR. They finally blacked out the engine on the SGC in 2010 which I like. Wanted a tach so I bought the digital speedo analog tach unit for $300. Excellent addition. Also wanted Vivid Black instead of Pearl Black [too much green showing through in sunlight]. You would also have a year longer warranty on the 2010 SGC. Overall I love the SGC. They ride and handle almost exactly the same. I would say it's a matter of preference. Get what you like both are nice bikes.

Depends on how much you hate cleaning laced wheels I guess. I personally wouldn't own a custom for that reason. My BF has a Super Glide (not a custom) and I have a Low Rider (both are 2009.) If you are not vertically challenged, you can add the chrome you like to the Super Glide. I like the handlebars on his bike better than mine...but mine is certainly a nicer looking bike.

Take all these slight differences into consideration and decide what you can live with and without. Both are great bikes. Don't let the highway pegs be deal breaker...you can but them on ebay or craigslist for about $30. I even got an extra set if you need them.
