dude that looks hot! awesome work dude! i've been looking for some 2 into 1 pipes that look good and Im not having any luck finding anything i like but yours caught my eye. how was the fine tune on it did you loose or gain in the low end and did you loose or gain in high gear?
I just cut mine in half and took all of the cat out. I welded it back together. With the rush slip ons sounds pretty good. Thanks for the pics, they helped me out with the project.

If you take a look at my thread on this I copied Scott but used a rush slip on instead of a standard pipe. That way you already have a baffle for it and it will keep you from dragging.
I really like what people have done with these head-pipes.
The more I read these threads, the more I wish I were home right now, cutting into one of my stock Tommy gun exhaust systems (I got a second one from flea-bay just so I could chop on it while still riding the bike).
I'm really intrigued with this now, because I see that the cat doesn't necessarily fill the entire collector section. That'll make it easier to do this whole thing. The other plus, here, is that a single cat-section will make a pair of 2-1 collectors. If things go as planned, I'll end up with four collectors.
I'm gonna go to the parts house and see if I can find some exhaust pipe that will fit the baffle from one of the Rush slip-ons, then I'll go with that size pipe. I'm also thinking of running it back a bit further than most, kind of a mid-length. I may just start long and then start chopping until I like it.
Seems most of the aftermarket 2-1 pipes are megaphone style. I just don't like those. I want a straight pipe with a slash-down cut on the end. I'll probably end up with all black. The VHT spray-bomb is waiting for me.
