Sup guys. Long time forum lurker, first time posting. Would like your opinions on the 2010 Fatbob, 2010 Wideglide, and 2010 Streetbobs. I love the look of all three, but I'm having a really hard time deciding which one to pull the trigger on. I learned to ride on a '98 Fatboy a few years ago and currently borrow the old man's '03 RK when I want to ride. I have never owned a bike personally, but I have ridden every model of Harley available (minus the V Rod) and know that I want a Dyna. My daily riding would consist of 30 miles (one way) to school and 20 miles (one way) to visit the girlfriend. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Your just going to have to go with what you like best, it's personal preference at this point. For me it would be...
1. Street Bob
2. Wide Glide
3. Fat Bob
I hope you decide soon as the weather is getting warm and it's time to ride. Oh and don't limit yourself to riding back and forth to school and the girls house. Be sure to get out on some hundred + mile runs. welcome to the forum.
My vote would be:
1.Wide glide (Best looking bike to come from MoCo ever! IMO)
2.Street bob (Wicked looking and probably a better handling bike.)
3.Super glide custom (Have always liked the Super glide.)
I went with the 2010 Wide glide and am glad I did-Love that bike.
If the New Wide glide did not exist I would have went for the Street bob, just needs forward controls.
why don't you ride all three and see which one fits you best. I personally like the Fat Bob and Street Bob. Wide Glide i'm still Bias about. Good luck on what you decide.
If budget or value comes into play, I would say SB is best bang for the buck. Also a great platform to customize. Can always throw a FB or WG front end on the SB and achieve a similar look for less, like i did with my SB.
I went with the wideglide because I thought it was more of a good start for customization. With the rake and wheel setup it has a chopper look while the bob has a bobber look so its really whichever you prefer. I like both but I couldnt get away from the WG
All three are great looking bikes. Personally I like the stock exhaust on the FB and WG more than the SB, but that's just me and most people upgrade the exhaust anyway. In theory the longer wheelbase on the WG should provide a slightly smoother ride, and the FB and SB should be slightly better in turns (or so I've been told), but ultimatly it comes down to what you like, both in looks and feel. Ride all three and buy the one that speaks to you.
