Youd prob have to change them but that is just what I know from being a sporty owner haha... If you dont think you like it fab it up like i did... Use PVC pipe and make you some apes and see if you are going to like them...
You will be able to use the stock cables with 14" any taller than that and you'll have to change them and get wire extensions too. I've seen some complete kits on ebay. That would be the simplest way to go.

First not all bars measure than same that say they are 14 inch. It also matters how wide the bars are at the grips and how you postion them can make a difference as well.

i have 14s with a 2 inch risers and the cables and wires were too short by about 2 inches. i went +4 on the wires and +4 for all cables except brake...actually went 2 shorter because i lowered the front at the same time.
