Not for Street Bobs. I have an 07 and the stock bars definately were internally wired nor are the bars 1.25". I didn't think the Wide Glides were either in 07. Are you sure those bars are stock on your Wide Glide?
Yes, 100% sure. I still have the stock risers which are for 1.25" bars (non-stepped).
Maybe they weren't stock on bobs. I certainly could wrong but here is a pic of the bike before I really did anything to it.
(A sig pic I was playing with but decided against)
I guess the 06 Wide Glides were the first to get internal wirring and the 1.25" bars http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photo...aWideGlide.htm
I always thought the Wide Glides and Street Bobs shared the same bars. Hmmm
I already had my dealer give me an estimate, the wide glide comes with all the wiring inside the bars, if you want the apes the same way it would be $1,600 plus, with the wires out $1,100 plus.
$1100 to $1600 for bars. I'd get a couple more quotes and then do it myself. Easy do it for half that.
Others chime in here; what would be the ramification for the warranty with DIY handle bar swap?

Bones
Doing a bar swap is not hard at all. Running the wires internally is also not hard. Easily done in half a saturday including beer/pee breaks and phone calls asking you where the 'bla bla' is.
