Default Speedometer Condensation

I know that there have been a lot of messages about the problem of condensation in the "sealed" speedometer and what to do about it, but I need to know if anyone has been able to get it replaced under warranty. My local dealer told me today that HD will not replace the speedometer on my 09 SB, no matter how much condensation is inside.

True?

So I guess this means that nobody has personal experience getting HD to replace the speedometer under warranty?

Just pop it out, drill a small hole in the bottom of it, so it can breathe. Problem solved......

Sounds like a great idea. Where exactly should I drill the hole?

Told me the same thing. The only way they will replace it is for it to get wet and stay wet inside the glass. Simple condensation wont do it.
