I have an '05 Wide Glide and I love it. Handles well, sounds great, and it's not a softtail. I ride with five other buddies who all have Dyna's. I think we sound and look just like every other Harley riders out there. It's your bike and you should ride what you like, it's not about what anybody else thinks.[sm=icon_rock.gif]
This really cracks me up. I am new here to the forum, but I have been rideing for a while. Mostly dirtbikes and Sporsters. I still have a 03 1200 Custom actually, and my Wide Glide. I heard all the crap about Sportsters.........but they are faster than any BT, and handle better IMO. I bought the Dyna WG for comfort, style and 2 up rideing. It feels huge to me after being on Sportsters and dirt bikes. I love the Dyna WG. And isnt that all that really matters? In my opinion, you want to tear up the canyon, get a Sportster, you want to ride forever and a day get a Touring model. You want a bad *** BT, get a Dyna of your choice (me likes WG) you want to get what all the rubs park at starbucks......get a softy. But that is my opinion. if you have a Soft tail, and love it, awesome. I have no time to measure d*cks........ Ride on bro's.
Both my bikes fall into this not real harley comments. I have a 05 Dyna Custom and a 03 V-Rod.
Both bikes get plenty of looks and positive comments from most people. I have heard a few V-Rod cracks
and one honda comment about my Dyna. Both of my bikes ride great through the upstate NY hills with acceleration
and good handling.
I was riding my Dyna yesterday and got gas. A new heritage plulled in and he started asking me questions about my Dyna.
After saying how much he liked my Dyna I asked him about his Heritage. He said it was OK but he said it was designed for a
300 pound person. If was to get a soft tail I would get a Duece, I love the CVO 03 and 04 Duece.
I'm never surprised by stupid comments from stupid people. I expect it!
I get nothing but compliments on my WideGlide. To me, (and thats what is important) the Wide glide is the best lookiong bike in the line up. Thats why I have one. I also love to straighten out the canyon roads with a Sportster. I have one of those as well. Honda??? Girlsbike???? idiotic comments from simple minded bone heads who have small ***** syndrome. If a guy has a yamaha, and is a cool guy, loves to ride, and loves his bike, then who the hell am I to degrade him or his ride? Ride and enjoy life man, thats what it is all about.
Ya know, it doesn't matter what they said. Answering them is a waste of life. You might as well debate, flat earth believers about the shape of our planet. Waste O time....
Let's talk about something worth while...... I vote to close this thread.
