09 street bob help

Found a great price on vance and hines short shots for my street bob. If I put them on myself will I need to get the engine tuned up?

Rule of thumb that I have been told by stealer is if you only change pipes, No. If you change pipes and A/C yes.

i'd be willing to say not at all i did all of my upgrades myself on my 09 fat bob rode it to the dealer to have it tuned they ran it like i had it printed me a sheet out with NO power commander or map d load then gave it to me put on my power commander ran dyno printed sheet same hp 1 more ftp torque and i was pissed so they didnt charge me... i say nooo

bord3r did they load a map after putting on the Power Commander? If not then it would just be the stock map and is probably why you saw no difference after putting the Power Commander on.

yes, they did a whole dyno tune and custom map

If you're just looking for looks and sound, no you don't NEED to remap. It won't hurt anything. But, to get the most performance wise out of your machine (which you'll want sooner or later) you'll want an AC and tuner.
