Hey guys this is my first post, been meaning to register for a month now, you guys give great info searching your forums. I recently bought my first harley....i wont lie, ive owned rice rockets long as ive riden and the change to a 2010 street bob has been great, not one regret....ill never get a rocket again lol. I do have a question for u guys though, i searched and compared the cycle shack slip ons and the se2's and decided to go with the cs. My question is if they are just the cs slip'ons will i be required to remap/ re-dyno?.....thx for you imput.....Vecter.
Welcome to the forum vecter! There's a good bit of info about that subject on here, the general consensus seems to be you're fine to leave the map unchanged unless you change the air intake. You may experience slightly more decel popping but the air intake is restrictive enough that you shouldn't need a remap. This can also be a YMMV type thing, so if it doesn't run as well as you'd like after the slip-ons, get it tuned.
thx Snacks...hopefully the exaust will work well, 162 bucks sure beats the 374 h.d wants for the se2 and most post i read almost all perfered the sc over the se2

You usually get what you pay for -- Except when buying OEM from Harley in some cases. And this may very well be one of them.
If the SE pipes you were looking at are 50-State legal, they've got more crap in them than a politician on election night. Beware the EPA!!
Do lots of research, get lots of opinions. Do your CS slip-ons have heat shields? Do you want heat shields? Are the baffles what you want? Are they the size you want?
You can do searches on the forum (look at the drop-down box for exhaust related boards) until you're blue in the face and read more than what is in a Michener novel.
My wife has the python slip ons on her '10 S.B. and she loves them. They sound good and look a lot better than stock. No other updrages and she runs just fine. I would say leave the baffles in and you will have no problem unless you get a high flow intake, then you will want to look at some sort of fuel control.
You can't go wrong with the CS mufflers. They used to make the SE mufflers for HD. They have good sound and work well...I have used them in the past and liked them. Sold the last ones to a forum member a couple years ago. No need to change anything unless you open the intake.
Ya thats kinda what i am understanding with these cs. Dont plan on doin the intake for awhile as i know a dyno/remap will have to happen at that point....on another note it would been alot easyer if the girlfriend didnt make me spend 600 bucks on a new seat, backrest and passenger pegs lol.
