Cycle Shack slip-ons
so i put the cs slash out slip ons on my 2010 street bob and wow want a difference....sound great.....just a lil to loud. My question is that i noticed that the baffels are not wraped at all just metal baffels......do u think if i wraped half the holes or all of the holes i could lower the over all sound a db or 2?.......i like the sound but the set off car alarms...literaly. If so does anyone have any recomendations on a good thing wrap and i could only go about a quarter inch in thinkness max.....thx Vec.

I have CS's too and was running at 107db (tested by city and state police at a courtesy check last year) and the NH state limit is 106db. They said I wouldn't get a ticket being only 1 db high but I leave for work at 0515 hours and sometimes 0315 and don't want to **** off my neighbors. So I pulled the baffles, went to an auto parts store and got some fiberglass muffler tape (1" wide) and wrapped 3 of the 4 sets of hole rings and I noticed it definitely toned it down a notch or too. The first couple of times you ride it, it stinks like hell but it eventually goes away. TK

hey thx 05dynalow, sounds like a plan....i do like the tone but would really like to drop 2-3 db if possible...the loudness is just on the fine line of being a lil to loud, hopefully itll drop a lil of the hollowed out sound and maybe deepen it just a bit.
