Did you look at V&H's website? They used to have audio bytes for all the pipes they offered including BR 2-2.

Depending on what you're wanting, the BR would have a more classic sound but lack any of the performance gains of the PP.

I had both on different bikes at the same time. Both sound good, but I prefer the 2-1 propipe sound. Plus it makes more low end power than the BR's do. I like that too. Honestly you can't go wrong with either, imho, but you asked for a preference and I gave you my unbiased opin.

I think the BR is just so overdone now.
I like the sound of the PP.
But I run thunderheaders on my bikes.
I say PP.

It all depends, I had the BR 2-2 w/bct baffles and they sounded great! But a buddy has the pro pipe and it sounds awesome as well, but his motor is built! To tell you the truth, if your thinking motor work down the line, go with the pro pipe. If not get the BR 2-2.

IMHO I think the 2 into1 systems
put the powerband where we ride most" low/midrange
although I noticed it all over with a thunderheader.

Okay, that's a sporty. But my 1977 Super Glide had the same (or similar) exhaust. We called it a 'sewer pipe', which it was even less useful than. And made about the same sound as compressed sewer gas.

I could barely afford the bike, much less afford to customize it. Or change stuff. I had just moved to Florida during the worst economic time since the Depression (for which there will always be a special place in Hell waiting for Jimmuh Carter). I was so broke, if it cost a quarter to go around the World, I couldn't get out of sight.

So I had to live with, look at and listen to, that lousy stinking 2 into 1 sewer pipe for about three years until I mustered enough cash to buy 2 into 2s.

I tell you this to explain that I am prejudiced, very prejudiced, against ANY 2 into 1 exhaust sytem of any kind for any reason.

So don't mind me. But I really do hate 2 into 1 exhaust. So? I'm a little unhinged. But I admit it.

2 into 1's have come a long way since then man!
I think Shovels are great sounding motors.
But I hate straight drag pipes. useless.
There is a guy who comes to our dealer.
2007 FXDSE 25K dyna and puts $100 cycle shack drag pipes on it.
