thanks for the reply. mine should be here soon will let you know how it works out.i"m tired of trying different seats.everyone says the mustang seats are hard to beat.hope there right
Have it - Love it! Replaced my Lepera Barebones with it. I like it so much that I sold my stock 2-up and Tallboy touring seats and just bought the Mustang pillion that goes with the Tripper for my old lady. For the first time since buying the bike, I only own one seat and am very happy with it.
that makes me feel alot better about my choice theres so many to choose from and everything you read say"s this one is the best.sat on a hole lot of seats at the harley dealer and didn"t find anything i liked better than my stock seat.thanks again

Heh.... Sitting on any seat at a dealer it's going to be tough to really tell. When you're on the 5th or 6th day of a 9 day trip, and you're hanging your sore *** first off the left side, then off the right side, then sitting on the passenger pillion, and then trying to sit on the damned gastank, THATS when you know your stock seat just won't cut it! And thats probably also when you'll pull in somewhere and drop the ching on a Mustang seat. Your butt will thank you, and you'll be able to finish your trip in considerably greater comfort!
Well if there was only one seat that suited everyone, the rest would be out of business. A lot of it is expectations. The smaller and sleaker the seat, the less padding, and the less far you can go on it without getting off of it. Mustang is a well made seat and they seem to use good dense padding so you can stay on it longer. Lepera is a very fine made seat but there just isn't anywhere to put but so much padding in a barebones. I could go about 45 minutes or stretch it to maybe an hour before my **** was screamin to get off the barebones for a few minutes. I can go a couple hours easy on my Mustang. But some guys say they can go as long as they want on the barebones. Go figure. As with many subjects on this site, opinions and preferences vary greatly. As long as you didn't buy the Mustang with the intentions of riding cross country on it, I think you'll be very pleased with the looks, fitment, and comfort.
The only problem I had with mine was that it didn't "hook up" just right at the tank end and left my tank strap bolt exposed. I probably could have just called them and they would have made it right but I'm an impatient *** and between replacing my leather tank strap with a chrome console extension (something I wanted to do anyway), and carefully bending the metal "tongue" on the bottom of the seat a little, I got it right myself.
I don't know if they will make this offer on every seat to every person, but I called them when I was looking a pillion for my wife. I told them how I had been through so many seats and hated to have to buy before I try. They guy assured me she'd like the pillion and offered to let me return it after 10 days if I wasn't satisfied if I bought direct from them. Well, I'm not only impatient, I'm cheap - so I found the same pillion on ebay for 30 dollars less and bought it there. I knew I couldn't return it and, fortunately, I don't want to. It might be good for some, who aren't sure, though, to pay a few extra bucks for the peace of mind of knowing you can return it if you don't like it.
