Default New bike in the stable...

I'm pretty new here.
I'm Chris, HD tech from R.I.

So, after a month of deliberations, I traded in my 05 night train
on a 2010 FXD!!!

So far so good, took the bike home friday. I was the one to PDI and assemble it right out of the crate.
Pretty cool to set up your own new bike and get paid for it!!! AHAHAHA!!!

Anyway, bike is vivid black. Had a hard time with the blonde engine cases at first but they're growing on me.

I've done a few mods already because I stripped everything of the train before she got traded.

I did: smoked lenses, smoked tail light and lay down plate bracket.

I have a Thunderheader coming for it, also forward controls too.

What bars are you guys running?

I don't like the stock buckhorn.
I could live with a set of stock lowrider bars for now.
But I do have a set of black outlaw Z bars that I want to throw on
with 4" risers.

Congrats on the bike. You do have to get rid of those stock bars though.

Cool ! I think that you should do the T-bars . It's becoming a very popular mod , but for a good reason . Way cool to be the tech that set up your own bike . Way to take some back from the man , so to speak , LOL !

Thanks Guys!
Yeah, I did get it out of the crate. Pretty cool doing it.
Also pretty cool getting paid to set up your own new bike!
I also cleaned it too for delivery.
The dealer where I work, Precision Harley Davidson in Pawtucket, RI
had a pretty sweet deal going on for new dynas.
I had to pull the trigger.

The buckhorns while ok for some people, they're not for me.
he put my wrist at an odd angle and it's uncomfortable.

I have the Outlaw Z bars. They already are internally wired with new switch housings.
I'm going to try those out.
If I don't like them I'm going to do 9 or 10" straight rise t bars.
Probably with about 4" of pullback. Also wouldn't mind doing a small front fairing.
