Right now I have a 05 FXD with SE2 Slip ons , SE filter & the sert to go with it. (The owner before me did all of this.)
Now I'm thinking power commander or such, big sucker intake & keeping the slip on's or just maybe go to a thunderheader. I cant really think of any other mods without opening up the motor. Did I miss anything ?
I really dont want to do anything thats going to take more then a weekend because my bike is my ride to & from work.
What I'm looking for is more from the lower end of the power range (aka torque) & like everyone else better overall performance.
I'm no wrench but have read as much here as I can. If you do not want to open the motor at all (including say drop-in cams) I would think that the biggest external performance boost would come with getting rid of the SE slip-ons and getting some sort of 2-into-1 pipe.
If you already have the SERT ... not sure what a Power Commander would give you...
I also don't know what a Big Breather would get you... I think you at least need some new cams to take advantage of all that extra air going in / out...
