Default Risers good; Tombstone not so good

I put the Drag Specialties 2.5" pullback risers (p/n 0602-0292) on my '07 FXD. The position of the stock bars is now ideal for me. No issues with stock cables. Can't say I really like having the speedometer sticking straight up, but I can live with it for now. I am looking for a top clamp/bracket solution to lay the speedometer back a bit to get it closer to original angle. Advice appreciated.

Stock position just like Wendell's. I think I uploaded a photo of my risers.

I've been thinking about this problem for a long time and i can't figure why someone hasn't solved it.

Looking at your photo with the speedo installed...tombstone flying....why couldn't you get a hacksaw and make cuts from the backside of the risers right under the underside of the cup that holds the bars and cut almost all the way through to the front. Leave about 1/8 inch of metal. Then bend everything forward. Clamp the risers in the position where your speedo looks good. Take the risers off and go have someone fill the cut open part of the risers with weld. Grind smooth and powdercoat or chrome.

Seems that it would be easy for someone to just manufacture risers with the angle already built in...its 35 degrees I believe.

There is probably thousands of guys that would buy them.

Rivco makes risers that retain the stock speedo angle, 2" back, 1" up. Of course there's a catch, though.

Risers are aluminum (more on that in a second) and quite expensive.
The new speedo housing ('06 and up maybe?) has two metal, threaded "receptacles" for the screws that hold that cheap piece of plastic on the back of the speedo to screw in to. These "receptacles" interfere with the risers, however, the risers can be grinded to fit--but, as mentioned, they are aluminum which is a pain in the a$$ to grind on.
