Audio installation
After several attempts to install a cd player in the saddlebag all without sucess( the units were junk or I didn't thoroughly check to see what functions they actually had), I decided to go the mp3 route. First off I got an ipod nano for my birthday from my bride, Deb. I then purchaed a Plye PLMCA60. Shipped to me was $145. To put the unit where i wanted it to go, I had to fabricate ALL the brackets and modify most all the permanent brackets already attached. After a couple of evenings and 1 Sat. off and on (between honey-do's) I finially finished it. Since the unit has a usb charging port, I also decided to put a lighter to facilitate the stoplight cigarette easier. First bracket was lighter on top, then ipod then usb but it made it kinda long looking. Then I went with the lighter top left, usb top right and ipod in the middle. Faceplate is 1/4" lexan, painted black and zip tied to the handlebar.. Tested it out yesterday with the bride and its clear and distint up to my normal top speed of @80 and REAL nice at 60. All in all, its EXACTLY what I wanted.
