I recently added my LeatherPro bags and some Kuryakn LED turn signals. I just found out the Tail light/license plate bracket have been pivoting down and rubbing on the tire. Looks like there used to be one rivet on each side next to the bolt that would hold the bracket in place. It appears as the rivet would be BEHIND the struts. Any words of advice or other solution before I start tipping SH*T apart???
i had issues with the stock turn sig wires but never the stock tail light bud, i guess i am not sure what problems you are having? have any pics and we can ehlp you that way
I take it you still have the stock bracket?
There is a metal strip between the plastic bracket and the fender, it should have slots in it that catch a small pin on each side, I do not remember any rivets being used on the bracket.
Definitely rivets. I just pulled the 2 broken ones out. I was going to replace them but the ones I have are too big. Will pick some up after work tomorrow.
8541: I remember seeing your replacement and I like that. What's involved? I tried looking for your thread on it but some of the links weren't working. Any pics of the bracket you made for the dual headlight setup? Mine's an 05 WG too
This is the original version, I have since modified it to get rid of the outboard turn signals. I have a license frame with LED's and the top 2 bolts on my license frame are LEDs. Keep the stock wiring block if you can, just make sure it is very well secured.
