Default Thunder header or Big Radius
I currently have a 2 into 1 Thunderheader, but really like the look of the 2 into 2 Big Radius by V&H. The question here is "how much louder are the Big Radius pipes than the Thunderheaders?" Anybody that has experience with both, I would love to hear your opinions.

I've heard them. I don't know that they're any louder, but the Thunderheader sure sounds better in my opinion. Nothing sounds quite as good as a Thunderheader.

The big radius look like they would be louder becasue I don't see a spot where any baffles or packing might be. Do the Thunderheaders have any baffles or packing in them? The owner of our local shop thought that the Big Radius would be louder but he wasn't sure.

take a flashlight and look inside your pipe. or you can go on the thunderheader website and see the description. i prefer performance so the vh pipe is no use to me.

the big radius are louder. The exhaust exits right by your torso. There is a baffle it is not wrapped. You'd be crazy to swap a thunderheader for a big radius.

I have to say that I have the big radius on my 09 street bob and would not change them for anything, I love the sound!

My friend has the TH and me with the VH...when he cracks that header open it is as loud or more.I like my VH..what I don't like on the TH is all the discoloring and blueing from it,but it is a great performance pipe..mine are loud all the time

the big radius blows dust all over the place..for power keep the TH...they both sound good
depends on what ur looking for..good luck

I really like the performance of my Thunderheader, but don't have much to compare with. I love the look of the Big Radius 2 in 2. I'll just have to decide. Thanks for all the advice.
